1. Who we are
FightEvent is operated by FightEvent AB, org.nr 559586-8380, Sweden ("FightEvent", "we", "us"). You can contact us at info@fightevent.app.
FightEvent provides software for event organizers, gyms, fighters, and ticket buyers. This policy explains how we process personal data in connection with our website, dashboard, fight night event pages, applications, fight cards, and ticketing features.
2. Roles under data protection law
FightEvent is normally the data controller for account data, platform usage data, support requests, and billing-related platform records. Organizers may also be independent controllers for information they collect and use for their own events, including fighter applications, event operations, communication with participants, and ticket-buyer relationships.
When a fighter applies to an event or a gym approves an application, relevant data is shared with the organizer and, where applicable, the gym so they can manage the event.
3. Personal data we collect
We may collect and process the following categories of data:
- Account information such as name, email address, profile image, and login provider details.
- Fighter profile information such as date of birth, height, weight, gender, gym connections, records, disciplines, and fighter photos.
- Gym and organizer information such as names, locations, roles, memberships, invitations, and approval decisions.
- Event information such as applications, fight cards, weigh-ins, results, ticket orders, and event content created by users.
- Ticketing information such as buyer name, buyer email, order number, ticket codes, purchase status, refund status, and checkout metadata.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser, device details, timestamps, logs, cookies, and security events.
- Support and communication data when you contact us or we contact you about the service.
4. How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- create and manage accounts;
- operate event, application, fight card, and ticketing workflows;
- share relevant event data with organizers, gyms, and fighters;
- process ticket checkout, ticket delivery, refunds, and receipts;
- send service messages such as invitations and ticket emails;
- provide support, prevent abuse, and protect the platform;
- improve product reliability, security, and user experience;
- comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
5. Legal bases
We process personal data under the GDPR where necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as platform security and product improvement, protect vital interests where safety is relevant, and based on consent where required.
6. Payments and third-party providers
Ticket payments are processed through Stripe and connected organizer Stripe accounts. FightEvent does not store full card numbers. Payment providers may process payment details, fraud signals, and transaction data under their own terms and privacy notices.
We may use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, email, file storage, payment processing, analytics, monitoring, and customer support. These providers may process personal data only for the purposes needed to provide their services to us, unless they act as independent controllers under their own terms.
7. International transfers
FightEvent is based in Sweden, but some providers may process data outside Sweden or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.
8. Cookies
We use necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, protect the service, process core workflows, remember essential choices, and prevent abuse. These are required for the platform to work.
With your consent, we may also use analytics and marketing technologies, such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Meta Pixel, to understand how the website is used, measure campaigns, and improve the service. These non-essential technologies are not loaded unless you accept them.
We also use operational monitoring tools such as Sentry to detect errors, investigate reliability issues, and protect the service. Session replay or similar diagnostic recordings are only enabled after consent. You can change your cookie choice from the Cookie settings link in the website footer.
9. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain event records, handle support, resolve disputes, comply with law, and protect legitimate business interests. Organizers may need to retain event and ticket records for accounting, safety, or regulatory reasons.
If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise account data and personal data that is no longer needed. Some records may be retained where required or permitted by law, including ticket orders, invoices, payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, safety, and event records. Where possible, we remove direct account links or minimise personal data in retained records.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise your rights, contact support@fightevent.app. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children and minors
Fight night events may involve minors. Organizers and gyms are responsible for collecting any required guardian approvals and complying with child protection, event safety, and sports regulations. We may restrict or remove accounts or data where required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the platform, law, or our operations change. The latest version will always be available on this page.
